New addition to the Turnbull Clan

On July 12 I finally got married in my hometown of Lititz, Pa. My new wife, Deanna Staffo, and I had a really great day with close friends and family. I am sorry I could not extend invitations to extended family; we were trying to keep the event on the small side. We just got back from our honeymoon on Wednesday. We flew into the northern tip of California, rented a car and drove all the way down the coast, leaving from LA. We fit in a lot and had a fun time. If you'd like to see more pictures from the wedding or honeymoon feel free to check them out here:

Sheldon Gray in the news

Sorry to ignore the blog the past few months. I have been deep in wedding planning mode.
Anyway, I got this link through the e-mail list to Sheldon and Family's appearance in the paper and thought I would put it up. It's a great article.

I'm sorry I'll be missing out on the reunion this year. I hope everyone has a blast ( I know you will). If anyone would like to send me photos to post of Tennessee fun from this year's reunion, feel free.

Reunion Photos

Well the seasons are changing, which means that the reunion is mere months away. Can't you just smell the trees? Sadly I don't think I'll be able to make it this year with all of my wedding preparations going on. Here are a few images from past reunions.

This image was from one of the Lake Erie reunions. I believe it was from 1966. It was part of an article written about the family which you can read below.

The next two images are from the 1963 Tennessee reunion.
My grandparents, David and Ruth, are in the front with my father in this one.
I'll see if I can figure out a difinitive who's who for this picture at some point. Can you identify everyone?

I got to sort through some more of my parent's photos this weekend. I scanned some more photos and will be putting them up in the next couple of weeks. Here is another photo of David the first.

Turnbull History

Well I haven't been doing too well with keeping up my blogging so far this year. I have been wanting to put this up for a while. This is a document my father gave me a copy of that traces the Turnbull's back to Scotland in 1757. My grandfather David R. Turnbull put this together according to my dad. If anyone spots any wrong information feel free to email me about it, I would be happy to update it. Have fun trying to figure out how many great great's Scotland's William Turnbull is to you. I am putting the document up one page at a time, and will also try to put it up as one multi-page pdf file. Hopefully I can grab some new pictures to put up next time I am back home.
