Bedrule Kirk. Bedrule is where the Turnbulls came from. William of Rule saved Robert the Bruce from a charging bull and was later knighted Sir Turn e Bull and granted lands at Bedrule. The Borders is dotted with wonderful little churches like this!!

Back again!

Hi Everyone!
Well, its been a long long while since I posted anything on the blog, but my Uncle Hugh pointed out something pretty cool I thought I could share. Apparently Penn State has digitized their old yearbooks and Hugh was able to find a picture of my grandpa (David) in the '32 edition.

Reunion Photos

Well the seasons are changing, which means that the reunion is mere months away. Can't you just smell the trees? Sadly I don't think I'll be able to make it this year with all of my wedding preparations going on. Here are a few images from past reunions.

This image was from one of the Lake Erie reunions. I believe it was from 1966. It was part of an article written about the family which you can read below.

Dan's Wedding

My brother Dan got married last week (Sept. 1) to his new bride Brook. The ceremony was in Lititz, so I got to go back home for a couple of days along with my fiancee. All of the planning came together, and we all enjoyed a lovely day. I didn't have time to grab any new Turnbull pictures when I was back for the wedding, but might have some new stuff to show in the next week or two.

Here are some scanned slides that we got from Hugh a few years back. I'm planning a trip to my parent's house later in the month, so I may go through some of their photo collections and post some more eclectic photographs. I know it has been a lot of my direct family's branch of the family tree, but I'm hoping to expand it out more soon.
